Hospitalist - 25 Minutes from St. Louis, Missouri. Belleville, IL. BJC Medical Group is seeking BE/BC Internal or Family Medicine Physician to join our friendly and experienced Hospitalist team in Belleville, IL . Located just 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis. Memorial Hospital Belleville is a 212-bed acute care Magnet-designated hospital offering emergency and critical care services as well as medical and surgical along with a full complement of diagnostic and treatment services.

Belleville provides a safe, suburban feel close to the big city with access to major amenities and a reasonable cost of living.

Position Highlights

• 7 on / 7 off schedule
• 7 AM to 7 PM
• Full-time requirement of 182 shifts per year with opportunity to pick up additional shifts
• ICU with 24/7 Intensivist coverage at main campus
• Substantial APP support and expansion
• No procedures, but option if desired

Compensation & Benefits

• $315,000 Base Salary
• Up to $20,000 Quality bonus per year
• $12,000 tenure bonus starting year three
• $30,000 Sign-on bonus
• Quarterly RVU's paid for productivity achieved over the 65th percentile

Responsibilities

• Manages the medical care of patient panel by providing or arranging inpatient hospital care for hospitalized patients, including regular rounds or coverage arrangements with other hospitalists, in accordance with Medical Staff requirements.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and care team members to ensure excellent patient care outcomes at the clinic location(s) designated by BJC and any other BJC clinical outreach location.
• Performs and documents medical histories and physicals in the patient’s medical record as required by hospital medical staff bylaws.
• Provides or arranges call coverage for clinic patients and inpatient calls in a manner acceptable to BJC and in accordance with Medical Staff bylaws, while following all BJC policies and procedures and applicable legal, ethical and professional standards.
• Collaborates and teaches advanced practice providers, support staff or any care team member assigned to the physician’s patient panel.
• BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
