Position: Hilo Driver

Position Summary:

1. Move merchandise throughout the warehouse from receiving to a customers car door.
2. Complete required paperwork necessary to support the function.
3. Tag or mark orders as requested.
4. Carefully move product from the staging or storage areas into the truck or trailer being loaded.
5. Slot move product as necessary and complete the paperwork to support that function.
6. Comply with all safety, security, regulatory, and company policies.

Tasks & Accountabilities

1. Responsible for warehouse operational procedures including sorting, loading/unloading activities of product processing and documentation and provide information regarding holes.
2. Prior to the product being stored, count all product, compare to the manifest, and check all inbound shipments for damage, infestation, and production dates.
3. Report shortages, overages, and damage to the appropriate manager.
4. Compare the quantity, quality, labeling, and consignee address to the customer order to ensure all outgoing shipments are complete and correct.
5. Safely and efficiently operate machinery and equipment as required, and assist in the unloading or loading of product moving into or out of the warehouse.
6. Participate in the physical inventories as required.
7. Maintain clean, neat, and orderly work areas and operate in a manner that promotes safety.
8. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouses.
9. Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications

1. Experience with the service, production, or support role having greater responsibility to perform all (or most) of the standard work within the function.
2. High school degree or GED equivalent.
3. One year of experience in a related area of responsibility.
4. Experience leveraging technology to perform daily tasks, including familiarity with MS Office applications, web navigation, and basic hardware functions.
5. Strong oral and written communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; ability to quickly build rapport with both internal teammates and Smart Warehousing business units.
6. Proven track record of taking initiative to accomplish tasks in creative ways with a sense of urgency and assertiveness.
7. The Hilo Operator is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
8. The Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform Order Filler and Checker duties.

Physical Demands

1. Consistently throughout the day employees are required to sit, talk, hear, and when necessary climb, crouch, or crawl.
2. Operate the equipment using hands to fingers, manually carry, and move merchandise.
3. Drive or ride in a motor vehicle.
4. Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
