Job Title: Wet Utilities Heavy Equipment Operator - Dirt Work

Location: Denver Area

Pay Rate: $30-$48 depending on experience

Job Description:

Join our team as a Heavy Equipment Operator specializing in wet utilities and dirt work. You’ll be instrumental in trenching, grading, and preparing sites for underground utility installation, including water, sewer, and storm systems. This is a hands-on role requiring precision, safety, and efficiency in operating heavy machinery on active construction sites.

Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, skid steers, and loaders for trenching and grading.

• Perform dirt work including site prep, backfill, and compaction.

• Assist with installation of wet utility systems (water, sewer, storm).

• Maintain equipment and ensure safe operation at all times.

• Work closely with crews to meet project timelines and specifications.

Essential Skills:

• Proven experience in wet utilities and dirt work construction.

• Proficiency in operating heavy equipment with attention to grade and depth.

• Understanding of trench safety, shoring, and utility installation procedures.

• Ability to read and interpret site plans and utility layouts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• CDL or equipment certifications are a plus.

• Reliable work history with consistent attendance.

• Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $48.00/hr.
