Role Overview: As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will play a vital role in loading, pushing, and transferring waste materials within our transfer station while maintaining a professional work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate various heavy-duty equipment such as Compactors, excavators, and bucket loaders.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections and maintain a thorough understanding of equipment capabilities.
• Follow safety specifications and signals while performing work duties.
• Receive and act on written and oral instructions concerning material movement.
• Keep materials flowing efficiently by loading trailers to target weight.
• Create and maintain necessary inclines or ramps.
• Perform repairs and replace parts on machinery as needed.

Work Environment: Be prepared for a physically demanding role with daily exposure to odors, loud noises, and weather elements.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED required; higher education is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator, preferably in the sanitation industry.
• Fluency in English is required; Spanish-speaking skills are a plus.
