Generator Mechanic

Mechanic Harlingen, TX

We're looking for experienced Mechanics to join our team in Harlingen, specializing in generator maintenance and repair. This role involves working with both A/C and D/C power systems, interfacing with control software via laptop, and participating in ongoing training to deepen your expertise in generator systems.

Key responsibilities include:

• Travel up to 90% within the South Texas region, including Harlingen, Corpus Christi, Victoria, and San Antonio.
• Work with A/C power systems such as 120/240v single-phase and 277/480v three-phase.
• Handle D/C control systems ranging from 12v to 24v.
• Use a laptop to interface with generator control software.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on generators.
• Troubleshoot and repair using basic hand tools and electrical meters.
• Participate in specialized training programs to enhance generator knowledge.

Required skills and experience:

• Minimum 3 years of commercial generator experience or 7+ years of residential generator experience.
• Proficiency in using laptops for control system interfacing.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Strong mechanical and electrical background in generator systems.

Preferred qualifications:

• Willingness to complete fast-tracked EGSA and Generac Industrial training.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic, field-based work environment.

Work Environment:

This is a remote field position based in Harlingen, servicing the surrounding South Texas region. You'll travel to various sites to maintain and repair equipment, working in diverse environments while maintaining a professional and safety-conscious approach.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $79040.00/yr. Trainings offered, certifications, growth opportunities, pay increases, benefits/health insurance, and more!
