General Manager - Truck Care

Overview

General Manager - Truck Care role at Love's Travel Stops is a leadership position responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of a high-volume truck care facility. You will lead staff, including Service Advisors, to provide exceptional customer service, manage processes, and execute strategies to enhance sales and customer satisfaction. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about the retail industry and ready to make a difference.

Location: Pell City, AL • Salary: $51,000–$60,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained location with exceptional customer service, proper merchandising, and effective marketing procedures.
• Drive sales of products and services through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and waste management.
• Ensure proper task execution, adherence to safety practices, scheduling, cash integrity, talent acquisition, employee development, and HR support.
• Collaborate with team members to train and develop staff to maximize customer service.
• Understand financial reporting, including profit and loss statements, to inform business decisions and seize opportunities.
• Address customer feedback and work to improve the overall experience.

Experience

• 2+ years in retail, restaurant, travel stop or c-store, big box, grocery, or department store management.
• 2+ years’ experience managing operations with annual sales volume of $2+ million.
• 2+ years’ experience interpreting and impacting budgets and P&L statements.
• 2+ years’ experience supervising and training 10+ employees.

Skills & Demands

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer satisfaction focus.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
• Intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to lift/move items over 50 pounds.
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle check.
