Overview
General Manager - Store - Alltown Fresh at Global Partners LP. The General Store Manager (GM) is responsible for the management of the day-to-day store operations, adherence to company policies and procedures, direct supervision of staff, maximizing store profits, and ensuring a high level of customer service and store appearance.
Responsibilities
- Maximize store profitability by managing controllable expenses, optimizing revenue streams, and leading a high-performing team.
- Ensure guest and associate satisfaction by exceeding brand standards and managing store profitability.
- Select, develop, and lead a highly engaged team; coordinate staffing to meet guest and business demands for a 24/7 operation.
- Provide a positive shopping experience for all guests; respond to customer inquiries, solicit feedback, and implement plans to meet customer expectations.
- Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring decisions in collaboration with the store management team; manage labor allocation and scheduling to optimize time and resources.
- Allocate resources, delegate tasks, and manage time effectively; implement training initiatives to ensure safety, effectiveness, and superior customer service.
- Foster an inclusive store atmosphere that values diversity and employee recognition; support talent management and development processes.
- Ensure safety, service, and operational efficiency by adhering to policies, procedures, and programs; monitor incidents and regulatory compliance.
- Lead change initiatives, champion programs, and ensure initiatives are executed and sustained.
- Meet or exceed key performance targets and budgeted gross profits; monitor financial reports and trends to improve store performance.
- Manage inventory, cash procedures, and audits; investigate shortages or variances as needed.
- Build relationships with community partners to connect the store with its community and leverage organizational resources.
Qualifications
- Must be available to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Leadership experience in fast-paced retail, food service, or fuel environment preferred.
- Experience selecting, training, and managing staff; experience with labor allocation, scheduling, and managing expenses.
- Ability to coach and develop team members; strong leadership skills.
- Ability to analyze trends and apply system thinking to complex issues; handle multiple projects independently.
- Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license; applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
