General Manager

Sodexo is seeking a dynamic food service leader to serve as General Manager for a potential new sale in the Greater Phoenix Arizona area. The General Manager will direct all contract food management service operations for the district. At Sodexo, we deliver food, nutrition, environmental and facilities management solutions to partnered K-12 schools. What You'll Do

1. Have oversight of day-to-day operations;
2. Ensure Sodexo and National School Lunch (NSLP)/USDA standards are met;
3. Deliver high quality food service;
4. Direct all contract services;
5. Oversee management team who are responsible for special functions, cash control and payroll;
6. Provide employee training and development;
7. Develop and maintain client and customer relationships and satisfaction;
8. Drive growth and financial management;
9. Assist in the development and implementation of strategic/marketing plans; and
10. Create a positive working environment.

What You Bring

• Have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively;
• Has previous experience working within a K-12 environment;
• Have culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
• Can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
• Prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement Associate's degree, with academic major in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a related field

Minimum Management Experience - 3 years

Minimum Functional Experience - 4 years of relevant school nutrition programs experience
