About the Role
As a Functional Consultant Airline Pricing, you will make an impact by leading a strategic airline pricing software development initiative for a key client. You will be a valued member of the Travel & Hospitality Consulting team and work collaboratively with client stakeholders, delivery teams, and internal leadership.
In this role, you will:
- Serve as the primary onsite engagement manager and point of contact, driving strategic alignment and fostering strong client relationships throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Lead requirement management by gathering, documenting, and validating business and functional requirements, translating them into features/user stories, and maintaining traceability.
- Conduct GAP analysis of current-state processes and systems to identify improvement opportunities aligned with client objectives.
- Oversee cross-functional project teams, perform Scrum Master duties, and deliver timely updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate global delivery teams across onsite and offshore locations to ensure seamless collaboration and adherence to airline pricing standards.

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 4 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Dallas, TX. What You Must Have to Be Considered
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Consultant in large-scale IT transformation programs in the airline industry.
- Prior experience in commercial airline function, preferably in pricing and revenue management.
- Strong understanding of airline fare creation and filing processes, including competitive analysis; experience with ATPCO preferred.
- Proven track record managing large consulting engagements or software development projects, ideally within an onshore/offshore delivery model.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
These Will Help You Succeed
- Familiarity with digital platforms, cloud-based solutions, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience with airline joint business agreements, alliance partnerships, and international joint venture pricing.
- Understanding software development methodologies and Scrum responsibilities.
- Ability to define KPIs, success metrics, and reporting frameworks.
- Experience supporting UAT planning, execution, and defect triaging.
