Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential care to residents in long term care settings. Under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN), you will focus on delivering resident-centered nursing care and assistance with daily living activities. Your responsibilities will include:

• Administering age-appropriate care as per individual care plans.
• Assisting residents with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and other personal care needs.
• Obtaining and recording vital signs and delivering psychosocial support.
• Helping residents with mobility, including transferring and walking as necessary.
• Creating a positive dining experience by assisting with food preparation and serving meals.
• Updating documentation related to resident interactions and care.
• Communicating any changes in residents' condition to nursing staff.
• Maintaining cleanliness in living areas and supporting residents in keeping their spaces organized.
• Encouraging participation in wellness and recreational programs.

Qualifications

To join our team, you should have:

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• You must be at least 16 years old; prior experience in long-term care is desirable.
• A valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing or enrollment in an approved training program.
• A commitment to ongoing education, with at least 12 hours of continuing education required each year.
• For applicable states, certification as a registered Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) may be necessary.
• Some roles may require a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
