Full-Time Dental Hygienist

SUMMARY

Join our dedicated team as a Dental Hygienist, where you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional preventative dental care and education to patients at Rochester Regional Health Dental Group. Your work will directly contribute to the enhancement of our dental services, collaborating closely with our leadership team.

ATTRIBUTES

• A minimum of an A.A.S. Degree from an accredited Dental Hygiene Program.

• Current License or Permit to practice Dental Hygiene in NYS, or a NYS Permit with a commitment to obtaining licensure within twelve (12) months of hire.

• Preferred: At least one (1) year of experience in a dental office or clinic setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Dental Hygiene: Deliver comprehensive dental oral prophylaxis by removing deposits, stains, and performing scaling and root planing on exposed root surfaces, as well as polishing teeth including existing restorations.

• Sterilization & Maintenance: Ensure all dental instruments are cleaned and sterilized properly following established protocols.

• Documentation & Coordination: Maintain and update patient records diligently and accurately.

EDUCATION:

A.S. in Dental Hygiene (Required)

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

Licensed Dental Hygienist - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work - Requires exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. This role involves frequent walking, standing, or squatting.
