Forklift Operator/Material Handler

Join a dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment as a Forklift Operator. As part of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of shipping, receiving, and material handling for fire protection and safety supplies.

Responsibilities include:

• Identify, pull, package, label, and verify materials for accuracy.
• Receive warehouse deliveries, maintain vendor relationships, and accurately place materials into stock.
• Pick items from pick lists, ensure order accuracy, and prepare them for shipping.

Essential skills include:

• Previous experience in shipping and receiving.
• Proficiency with sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
• High school diploma.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Additional skills and qualifications include:

• Forklift certification or experience preferred.
• Previous inventory management experience.
• Flexibility and willingness to assist with various tasks.
• Bilingual skills are advantageous.

Work environment:

Work in a smaller warehouse setting without air conditioning, alongside a small team of less than 10 staff members. The standard schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 am to 4 pm, with a one-hour lunch break. The role is based at the Pompano Beach Office of Quality Fabrication & Supply.

Job type & location:

This is a contract to hire position based out of Pompano Beach, Florida.

Pay and benefits:

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
