Food Scientist

Position Summary

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking a Food & Productivity Scientist to join our Clients growing R&D team. This role will focus on developing and testing new, cost-effective ingredient solutions that optimize product performance while maintaining nutritional integrity and quality. The successful candidate will support both physical and sensory testing, collaborate cross-functionally, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Pay: 25- 30+/hr depending on experience and education

Key Responsibilities

  Conduct research on new ingredients and evaluate their application in food and nutrition products.

  Develop cost-effective formulation strategies without compromising on nutrition, quality, or sensory attributes.

  Perform physical, chemical, and sensory testing on prototypes and finished products to ensure quality and performance standards.

  Analyze data, interpret results, and prepare technical reports and recommendations.

  n

• n

  Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing to ensure feasibility and scalability of solutions.

  Support product trials, pilot plant work, and scale-up activities as needed.

• n

  Stay current with industry trends, ingredient innovations, and best practices in food science.

Qualifications

n
• n

  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or related field.

  n
n
• n

  1-4 years of experience in food science, R&D, or product development (internships and co-op experience considered).

  n
n
• n

  Hands-on experience with physical and sensory testing methods preferred.

  n
n
• n

  Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.

  n
n
• n

  Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

  n

• n

  Knowledge of food regulations, labeling, and quality standards is a plus.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $35.00 per hour
