Summary
- The Floor Finisher is responsible for cleaning and servicing assigned areas including performing routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis using all floor and buffing machines.
General Hours of Work
- Monday through Friday (evening, weekend, call rotation as needed)
Education and/or Experience
- High School diploma or GED preferred. Previous cleaning experience in healthcare setting preferred.
Certificate, Licenses, Registrations
- N/A
Essential Functions
- Assembles materials and supplies in janitorial room.
- Cleans assigned areas by dusting and mopping floors with special cleaning solutions and disinfectant to prevent the spread of disease.
- Uses treated cloths on dust broom, damp mop and vacuum to clean hallways, dining room floor and other areas as needed.
- Buffs all hallways, patient rooms and other floors as needed, effectively using all floor and buffing machinery.
- Strips floors and wax as needed.
- Cleans carpets in assigned areas per schedule using appropriate chemicals and all floor machinery.
- Cross trains to other department responsibilities as needed.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
