Job Title: Fleet Mechanic

Job Description

As a Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on company fleet vehicles, with a focus on medium and heavy-duty diesel tractors and trailers. Your expertise will ensure that all vehicles meet DOT and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

  Troubleshoot, diagnose, and complete repairs on all types of vehicles.

  Perform preventative maintenance within the fleet department.

• n

  Respond to service calls as required.

  n
n
• n

  Create work orders in SAP and ensure working times and tasks are logged into the computer.

• n

  Maintain tools and clean up the work area before the end of the shift.

• n

  Participate in and adhere to required safety training.

  n
n
• n

  Support departments by communicating out-of-service vehicles and downtimes.

n

Essential Skills

• n

  Experience in diesel, fleet maintenance, and preventive maintenance.

• n

  Proficiency in diesel engine repair and troubleshooting.

  n
n
• n

  Ability to diagnose and repair airbrake systems.

  n
n
• n

  Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.

  n
n

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• n

  Knowledge of airbrake and electrical systems and components preferred.

  n
n
• n

  Valid CDL Class A Driver's License preferred.

  n
n
• n

  Prior experience using a pallet jack or forklift preferred.

  n
n
• n

  Ability to obtain PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) certification upon hire is required.
