The Finance Manager is a strategic partner to the Commercial team, providing expert decision-making support, proactively identifying opportunities, a key member in building and driving initiatives to consistently deliver on business objectives. This position provides excellent development opportunities and a high level of interaction and exposure to the Intercontinental area management team. Intercontinental Area spans geographically from Canada, Latin America, Middle East, Africa to Asia Pacific.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning & Analysis Forecasting Cycles (Budget/Update/LRP/LBE)
• Co-ordinate and lead consolidation of inputs from multiple stakeholders into Intercontinental Area submissions across all cycles - Plan, Monthly Latest Best Estimates (LBE) and Long-Range Planning (LRP), and ensure deliverables are aligned with guidance from International HQ and Global Commercial Finance.
• Execute comprehensive data checks into affiliates' financial numbers to ensure high quality submissions.
• Actively identify trends, challenging forecasts, validate and monitor assumptions for each brand. Performs ad hoc analysis and forecasts for internal management team and external customers to support business initiatives and decisions.
2. Intercontinental HQ Budget
• Oversee Intercontinental HQ budget maintenance, deliverables, submissions and reporting.
• 1 direct report
3. SOX Internal Reporting/DSO/Headcount/Capital Reporting:
• Co-ordinate and lead deliverables including SOX, Headcount and Capital reporting.
• Support and co-ordinate capital requests from affiliates where applicable.
• Review and ensure submissions are aligned with guidance from Global Commercial Finance.
4. Medical:
• Co-ordinate and lead preparation of financial reporting for Total Intercontinental Medical Spend.
• Support clinical studies/medical projects spend tracking for Total Intercontinental.
• Develop narratives and other materials for medical presentation/meetings.
• Support ad-hoc medical projects.
5. Financial Planning System
• Oversee and lead planning tool system governance, system changes, enhancements and UATs, co-ordinate with BSG/BPC team to ensure availability of scenarios and flexes in system.
• Support affiliates in planning system queries.
6. Financial Reporting & Analysis Actuals/Flash Reporting:
• Co-ordinate and lead flash and actuals reporting process. Support preparation of financial reporting and dashboards, and drive provision of real time data.
• Communicate business results through high quality variance analysis and commentaries to Intercontinental management, International Therapeutics and Global Commercial Finance.
7. Others:
• Support pan TA ad-hoc analytics
• Lead ad-hoc strategic initiatives and Area projects.

Education/Experience Required:

• Undergraduate Degree in a Finance related field, either Finance/Accounting.
• Minimum prior experience of 8+ years in FP&A and/or Commercial Finance within the Pharma/Medical Device industry.
• Experience in working within a matrix, MNC environment.
• High proficiency in SAP BPC planning tool is essential.
• Excellent Excel (inclusive of Macros), PowerPoint and being conversant with various systems Microsoft applications and SAP.
• Experience with Power BI is a plus.
