Position Summary
The Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) seeks a Financial Examiner/Analyst II to investigate complaints related to condominiums, cooperatives, and timeshare associations. This in‑office role is part of the Bureau of Compliance, Division of Condominiums, Timeshares, and Mobile Homes.

Responsibilities

• Investigate financial and non-financial complaints against condominium, cooperative and timeshare associations.
• Identify and apply specific portions of Florida Statutes and Board Rules to allegations.
• Review evidence to determine sufficiency for further investigation.
• Conduct interviews, obtain verbal and written statements from witnesses, complainants, and respondents.
• Prepare written letters to complainants and respondents.
• Compile detailed investigative reports outlining each investigated allegation.
• Maintain knowledge of department and agency functions to provide public referral information.
• Monitor case load to ensure timely processing.
• Communicate regularly with supervisor.
• Travel as required for case and non‑related trips.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• General knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Ability to analyze financial documents.
• Knowledge of investigative techniques.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply statutes and administrative rules.
• Interview and statement‑taking skills.
• Evidence collection and analysis abilities.
• Capability to conduct thorough investigations and write accurate reports.
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, oral and written communication.
• Customer‑service orientation.

Minimum Requirements

• Two years of investigative experience researching and analyzing financial documents.
• Two years preparing investigative reports.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or an associate’s degree from an accredited college.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
