An exciting opportunity has opened for a skilled Field Service Engineer within our innovative medical laboratory equipment company. We specialize in servicing a range of laboratory devices such as hematology, chemistry, and coagulation analyzers. This role is pivotal in maintaining the high standards of operability and reliability that our clients expect. The position offers a dynamic work environment based in Central California, with the incumbent expected to manage installations, routine check-ups, problem resolutions, and preventive maintenance of sophisticated medical instrumentation.
Salary: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform installation, servicing, and preventive maintenance of medical laboratory instrumentation.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Coordinate problem resolution activities within the Field Support Group to handle service challenges effectively.
Maintain a car inventory including necessary tools and trunk stock (parts) to ensure readiness for immediate repairs and maintenance tasks.
Provide on-site basic training to clients on the operation and maintenance of the equipment to ensure safe and effective use.
Travel overnight as required to meet business and client needs across the designated region.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

A Certificate or AAS Degree in electronics, or a related technical field, is mandatory.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in field service, ideally within the medical devices sector.
Demonstrate proficient skills in electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing environments.
Full vaccination against COVID-19 is required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience servicing medical lab analyzers or other similar medical instrumentation is highly desirable.
Advanced troubleshooting abilities with a keen attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills and a proven track record in a similar role.

Proficiency in using various diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting.
