• Seeking a board certified Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
• Diagnose and treat patients with acute and chronic conditions as well as serving as a consultant and educator.
• Performing patient history and physical examinations, diagnostic testing, test interpretation, treatment, patient follow up and education on managing acute and chronic health problems.
• The APP promotes collaboration between the multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care.
• The APP will make referrals to physicians and other healthcare providers, document assessment, management, and education clearly and concisely within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Additionally, the APP is the first assistant in surgery and will performs first assist duties, including ensuring all needed equipment and supplies are present.
• The APP will conduct Post-op visits, write orders in the recovery room, talk with family and, performs post-op procedures and more.
• The APP will dictate discharge summaries, writes prescriptions, explains discharge instructions, and confirms follow-up appointments, as well as monitor, record and report systems or changes in patients condition.
Qualifications
• Completion of an accredited NP/PA program required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
• Current licensure as a NP/PA in the State of South Carolina in good standing (SCLLR) required.
• Basic Life Saving (BLS) Certification required.
