Family Nurse Practitioner - PRN Position

Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Family Nurse Practitioner to join our vibrant healthcare team.

Baptist Health Urgent Care operates 23 locations in Arkansas and is affiliated with Urgent Team, one of the largest independent urgent and family care center operators in the Southeast. Our centers provide quality and affordable healthcare across more than 80 locations.

At Baptist Health Urgent Care, we offer convenient walk-in services for a wide range of healthcare needs, including acute and chronic conditions, occupational health, and wellness care. Our centers are open seven days a week: Mon. - Fri., 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. All centers are recognized as Accredited Care Centers, honoring our commitment to safety, quality, and comprehensive services.

JOB SUMMARY:
As a valued Nurse Practitioner at Baptist Health Urgent Care, you will provide exceptional medical care to patients of all ages with various acute and chronic conditions. Collaborating closely with our healthcare team, you'll diagnose, treat, and educate patients while ensuring the highest standard of care and service. Our PRN team members are scheduled on an as-needed basis, offering flexibility to accommodate your lifestyle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties encompass the core expectations of this role, though additional responsibilities may be assigned:

• Deliver exemplary customer service to patients, visitors, and coworkers.
• Provide friendly, accessible patient care to those seeking health-related services.
• Lead and assist during emergencies while maintaining a calming presence.
• Adapt to a fast-paced environment, navigating variable hours and frequent interactions.
• Perform medical assessments, treatments, and follow-ups for clinic patients, including primary care and urgent care.
• Carry out procedures such as laceration repairs, injections, and abscess incision and drainage.
• Establish and maintain an appropriate level of medical care for patients.
• Oversee on-site laboratory, x-rays, and direct access services.
• Maintain clinical competencies and work with leadership to align operations with policies and standards.
• Collaborate in the development and improvement of policies affecting practice and patient care satisfaction.
• Engage in staff education programs, enhancing skills and knowledge within the team.
• Contribute to the development of new services and improvements within the Center.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, certification, and accreditation requirements.
• Represent the company at meetings and events as needed.
• Mentor and guide other medical staff to ensure quality services.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?
Experience as a Provider is preferred; however, new graduates are encouraged to apply! Requirements include:

• State License as an APRN
• Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
• DEA license, or a willingness to obtain upon hire
• DOT certification, or a willingness to obtain upon hire
• BLS certification
