Located in the heart of the Ozarks, Ozark Mill & Finley Farms is a historical and cultural destination for a new generation of travelers. Set along the Finley River in Ozark, MO, just a short drive from Springfield. We have taken great care to restore the working grist mill (built 1833) along the riverbank, to continue a long tradition of being the center of the community. The mill creates a unique place that embraces our heritage and supports a modern shift towards a more simple way of living. These inspired spaces offer events and programs that will allow people to experience an Ozark way of life in a whole new way. Modeled after the family farms that once dotted the Ozark landscape, Finley Farms honors the true spirit of the Ozarks agricultural beginningsthrough time honored techniques, education and a sense of pride. Finley Farms is a multi-parcel, small plot, high-yield farm that will include a variety of edibles from vegetables to fruit and herbs to mushrooms. The farm produces seasonal products for the on-site farm market and restaurants. The farm is dedicated to being a resource and an educational amenity for the area. The farm grows produce that is incorporated through a myriad of food, drinks and products throughout the entire property.

Position Summary

The Facilities Manager at Finley Farms oversees and provides maintenance and upkeep of all grounds, public space, and all front and back of house facilities.

Essential Functions:

• Be knowledgeable about Finley Farms and its history.
• Provide leadership to property aides, duty engineers, mill attendants, and public space attendants.
• Assist with electrical/mechanical maintenance, safety systems, and equipment upkeep.
• Coordinate facility and grounds needs for contracted and third party support.
• Keep property manager informed of equipment and supply needs and perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance as needed.
• Coordinate and conduct landscaping/grounds duties:
• Oversee upkeep of all grounds including plants, trees, lawn areas, and irrigation systems.
• Conduct cleaning, snow and ice removal, and repair of walkways, trails, drives, and parking areas.
• Conduct trash/recycle/compost removal.
• Assist the farm manager with miscellaneous tasks as needed.
• Coordinate and conduct public space duties.
• Responsible for property vehicles, equipment, and buildings. Ensure all usage items are stocked and clean.
• Transportation of guests and moving of all equipment and supply needs to departments.
• Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards; attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness a must.
• Must have a flexible schedule to meet the demands of the property and its guests.
• Must excel in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is expected.
• Be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
• At all times, represent Finley Farms in a positive, friendly, professional way.
• Assist with all other duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile

Education, experience, and personality characteristics:

• Experience in property maintenance, carpentry, landscaping preferred.
• Knowledge of native vegetation preferred.
• Hospitality experience preferred.
• Forklift operator preferred.
• Must be willing to work flexible schedule.
• Valid driver's license.
• A clear and personable communicator.
• Inquisitive nature, constantly innovating and offering ideas.
• Desire to be continuously learning, and self-starting.
• Demonstrated initiative ability to think, work, and make decisions to solve guest concerns based on sound judgment.

Number Facility - The ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and correctly.
