Facilities Maintenance Technician

Aerotek is hiring Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Change out lighting, outlets, and troubleshoot electrical problems within 277v to 480v, and occasionally at 15kva.

• Perform mechanical tasks such as changing out pumps, piping, valves, and drilling and tapping holes.

• Repair air compressors, cooling towers, heating and cooling units, and fire systems.

• Conduct plumbing repairs on toilets, urinals, lift stations, and chemical lines.

• Perform quality checks on water, PH, chlorine, air compressors, switch gear, chemicals, and fire systems.

• Execute preventive maintenance on cooling towers, MVR, boilers, lift stations, bathrooms, HVAC, HVU, vacuum filters, and water systems.

• Complete office suite repairs including sheet rock, painting, flooring, ceiling tiles, lighting, and furniture.

• Utilize computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Smart Sheet to write instructions and complete work orders.

Essential Skills

• 3 - 5 years of experience in a facilities maintenance role.

• Industrial maintenance and/or military experience in a skilled craft.

• Electrical and mechanical knowledge pertaining to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

• High school diploma or GED is required.

Work Environment

Work on a weekend shift, either day or night, with training on a weekday shift for 3-4 months. This role requires flexibility for covering vacations. The plant is a fast-paced environment with non-temp controlled areas ranging from 30 to 120 degrees, but offers heating and cooling zones, break rooms, and comfort items like popsicles and cooling vests. The facility operates with die cast machines and robotics, producing parts every 92 seconds.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jackson, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
