Facilities Maintenance Mechanic

The Machine Maintenance Technician's primary responsibility is to conduct machine preventative maintenance and repair and to work as a cross-functional team member with other department associates. Responsibilities include responding to and prioritizing requests for department or individual assistance, demonstrating leadership and sound judgment. They will inspect and care for machining equipment regularly to determine needed maintenance and repairs, and clean equipment using appropriate methods. They will troubleshoot and perform mechanical repairs on equipment, compressors, tools, and other items, including dismantling and reassembling as needed. They will safely use and maintain appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools. They will schedule and work with contractors, including electricians and plumbers, on a routine and emergency basis. They will inventory machine parts and supplies, and purchase necessary hardware, tools, and other supplies within budget. They will remove snow and add salt to facility entrances and exits during winter. They will promote safe work practices throughout the company, providing updates and training to associates as needed. They will focus on continuous improvement in machine maintenance. They will safely operate a forklift. They will comply with company policies and procedures, including ISO, OSHA, and AWAIR requirements. They will support the company's mission and exemplify core values daily. They will maintain regular and predictable attendance. They will perform other duties as assigned.

Essential skills include troubleshooting, maintenance technician skills, mechanical skills, and electrical skills.

Work Environment

Work in a quiet manufacturing environment in newly moved facilities, with assembly and machine shop located in different buildings. The area is open and temperature-controlled. The dress code requires safety toe shoes/boots that are slip and oil resistant, with reimbursement up to $130 with receipt. 1st Shift: 7am-3:30pm Pay: $28-35/hr.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
