We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to provide exceptional clinical care in urgent care, occupational health, and workers' compensation settings. You will play a vital role in enhancing the patient experience by ensuring high-quality care and support.

ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Medical Assistant is responsible for conducting initial evaluations, performing x-ray testing, and preparing patients for provider assessments. Your duties will include recording patient histories, vital signs, and documentation while assessing acuity levels for timely interventions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following responsibilities highlight the expectations of this role. Additional duties may be assigned as required:

• Welcome patients promptly and provide clear communication regarding next steps and wait times.
• Address patient concerns with effective solutions and escalate issues in emergencies.
• Ensure timely follow-up on lab and x-ray results; execute urgent follow-up calls as needed.
• Assist front desk staff with check-in and check-out processes when necessary.
• Document vital signs, medical histories, medications, allergies, and other important information accurately.
• Support patient transfers, procedures, and lab work under the supervision of healthcare providers.
• Prepare and perform X-rays while ensuring safety measures, proper positioning, and radiation protection.
• Complete all required documentation and maintain clean, stocked exam rooms.
• Adhere to infection control protocols, safety regulations, and patient confidentiality standards.
• Execute phlebotomy, injections, and other clinical tasks as trained and directed.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Full-time team members will work a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, including 12-hour weekday shifts and every other weekend. PRN (per diem) team members will be scheduled on an as-needed basis.

REQUIREMENTS:
To excel in this role, you should possess:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (preferred).
• Experience in performing X-Rays (desirable).

• Monday to Friday: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Sunday: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
