Exec Director, Strategy & Roadmap

Position Summary

CVS Health is seeking a visionary executive director to lead enterprise-wide strategy and roadmap development for our Data & Analytics organization, serving Pharma and Life Sciences clients. This role will shape the strategic direction of our analytics capabilities, drive transformational initiatives, and position CVS Health as a market leader in data-driven healthcare innovation. The ideal candidate is a seasoned strategist with deep healthcare domain expertise, a strong analytics foundation, and a proven ability to influence across the C-suite and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Enterprise Strategy Leadership: Define and drive the long-term strategic vision for CVS Health\'s Pharma Data & Analytics portfolio, aligning with enterprise priorities and market evolution.
• Transformation & Innovation: Lead strategic transformation initiatives that modernize analytics delivery, accelerate innovation, and unlock new growth opportunities across the healthcare ecosystem.
• Market & Client Influence: Serve as a senior advisor to pharmaceutical clients, translating complex market dynamics into actionable strategies that shape product development, commercialization, and client engagement.
• Cross-Enterprise Collaboration: Partner with senior leaders across analytics, technology, sales, marketing, and client services to ensure cohesive execution of strategic initiatives and enterprise alignment.
• Roadmap Governance: Oversee the development and execution of strategic roadmaps that guide investment decisions, capability development, and operational excellence.
• External Thought Leadership: Represent CVS Health at industry forums, executive roundtables, and strategic partnerships to influence the future of healthcare analytics and data strategy.
• Leadership & Culture Building: Build and lead a high-performing strategy organization, fostering a culture of agility, innovation, and accountability.

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive leadership in strategy, transformation, or analytics within healthcare, life sciences, or consulting.
• 10+ years experience of leading design and own the Product strategy and roadmap for the Pharma Data and Analytics team.
• 10+ years experience of leading the innovation agenda for the team, identifying new capabilities and data for team to consider adding to the roadmap.
• 10+ years of proven success in leading enterprise-level initiatives and influencing executive stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of pharmaceutical commercialization, marketing, and R&D dynamics.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced analytical acumen with the ability to translate data into strategic insights.
• Bachelor\'s degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Leadership experience in Fortune 100 healthcare or life sciences organizations.
• Track record of launching new business lines or innovation hubs.
• Familiarity with CVS Health\'s strategic priorities and data ecosystem.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$131,500.00 - $303,195.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company\'s equity award program.
