Equipment Mechanic

The mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and replacing parts on equipment. The work will be done in a shop setting and involves heavy equipment and fleet vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair heavy equipment and fleet vehicles.
• Replace parts as needed to ensure equipment functionality.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.

Essential Skills

• Experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
• Proficiency with heavy equipment mechanics.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in construction environments.
• Knowledge of diesel engines.

Work Environment

Work takes place at construction sites for roadways and sidewalks across Central New York. The company maintains a family-owned culture with long-term, tenured employees and a team size of 35 to 40 employees in the field at any given time.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Solvay, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
