1st Shift Environmental Technician

We are seeking a dedicated 1st Shift Environmental Technician to join our team in Hatfield, PA. This role involves handling and managing waste materials, including the transportation, identification, and loading/offloading of labeled waste drums. The technician will also be responsible for distinguishing between hazardous and non-hazardous waste and organizing them appropriately in the warehouse. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the environmental industry.

Responsibilities

• Transport labeled drums of waste safely and efficiently.
• Identify the contents of drums and ensure they are correctly labeled.
• Load and offload waste drums onto trucks.
• Separate hazardous waste from non-hazardous waste and organize them in the warehouse.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.

Essential Skills

• Possess a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• OSHA 40 certification is a plus.
• 40 Hour Hazwoper certification is beneficial but not required as training will be provided.

Work Environment

The work environment is both indoor and outdoor, with tasks divided between fieldwork and warehouse activities. The role requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday and to stand and walk over uneven surfaces for extended periods. The technician should be comfortable working in all climate conditions outdoors and in non-climate-controlled conditions indoors. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hatfield, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
