Licensed Aircraft Structures Mechanic

Join our team as an Aircraft Structural Technician, where you'll utilize your expertise in aviation to perform structural repairs on sheet metal and composite materials. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and functionality of aircraft by adhering to FAA regulations and maintaining high standards of quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural repairs on sheet metal and composite materials and interpret blueprints for modifications and fabrications.
• Conduct inspections, repairs, services, and modifications in compliance with FAA regulations.
• Perform scheduled and special inspections, address discrepancies, and service systems.
• Determine malfunctions using standard tests and diagnostic tools, inspect, assemble, and install major helicopter components and sub-assemblies.
• Service airframe parts, assemblies, and systems including engine, hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and ambient systems.
• Support towing, parking, mooring, and storage of aircraft.
• Prepare aircraft for customer delivery, including washing and cleaning.
• Maintain detailed documentation of tasks performed, materials used, and time spent.
• Travel as assigned to perform maintenance on company or customer aircraft.
• Support the shop with components wrapping, unwrapping, crating, and uncrating.
• Work with computers to document tasks performed.
• Follow FOD inspection criteria and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Essential Skills

• 4-7 years of aviation experience.
• Airframe License OR A&P license.
• Experience with structural repairs on sheet metal and composite materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Proficiency in performing inspections, repairs, services, and modifications according to FAA standards.
• Ability to work with diagnostic test equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with helicopter dynamic components (preferred).
• Ability to follow instructions and work under minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in documenting work performed using computers.
• Knowledge of AS9100 regulations.

Work Environment

This role is based in a Part 145 Repair Station and Completions facility. The environment is tool controlled, meaning no personal tools are required. You will work in an organized setting focused on safety and precision.

This is a Permanent position based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $93600.00/yr.
