Laser Machine Operator

This is an entry-level position for a Laser Machine Operator responsible for working on a laser machine that cuts wood to create rotary and flat dies. This opportunity is ideal for someone who sees this as a career path and is eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Operate the laser machine to make precise cuts on wood.
• Lift and load wood (up to 75 lbs) into the machine.
• Ensure measurements are accurate using a ruler.
• Maintain the machine and report any issues.

Essential Skills

• 6+ months of Machine Operation experience.
• Proficiency in using a ruler and taking measurements.
• Basic computer and mechanical skills.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Trainable with a strong desire to learn.
• Physical capability to lift 75 lbs regularly.

Work Environment

Work in a large, clean, and organized production shop with a pleasant smell of burning wood and glue. The facility is well-lit and temperature-controlled. You will be working on the second shift with about 20-25 people on the production floor. Training will be conducted earlier in the day, and you will be paid daily.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blaine, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
