In our 1:1 ABA setting, you'll engage directly with children (18 months to 8 years) utilizing ethical, evidence-based ABA techniques in a nurturing, center-based atmosphere. As a Behavior Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Implementing one-on-one ABA therapy to assist children with Autism in reaching their full potential by reviewing treatment plans, executing therapy as described, collecting data, documenting sessions, and applying feedback from supervisory observations.
• Enhancing the development of young children through engaging and enjoyable therapeutic activities.
• Collaborating with team members to enhance treatment effectiveness, safety, and create a fun working environment.
• Interacting playfully with children through various activities, from running and dancing to reading and imaginative play, while fostering a joyful atmosphere.
• Communicating positively and effectively with various stakeholders (peers, families, supervisors) to coordinate activities, celebrate achievements, and address personal needs.

Job Requirements:

• Physical capability to lift and move children in a fast-paced environment, including the ability to lift up to 30 lbs and engage actively with young children while maintaining a safe and tidy workspace.
• Creating a conducive therapy environment by ensuring play spaces are organized and stimulating for the children.
• Strong multitasking skills to balance various tasks, decisions, and communications while managing priorities and safety.
• Team support by working cohesively with the center and community, which may involve travel to nearby centers.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• At least 18 years of age and possession of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Complete the RBT certification process within 20 days of employment, which includes a 40-hour training curriculum, hands-on competency assessment, registering for an exam, and passing the board's exam.

Compensation Ranges Based on Experience & Education:

• Associates/High School: $15.00 - $22.50
• Bachelors: $15.00 - $24.00
• Masters: $16.00 - $26.00

Entry-level candidates can expect their first raise upon obtaining RBT certification, typically within 21 days.

Preferred Experience:

• Childcare experience (nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, tutor, etc.)
• Mental health experience (QMHP, behavioral health technicians)
• Experience in roles like camp counselors, volunteers, or Sunday school teachers
• Degrees in teaching, special education, psychology, sociology, or related fields
• Experience as paraprofessionals, direct support, or life skills assistants
• A passion for working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
• A keen interest in joining a caring, team-oriented culture
