You will have the opportunity to work hands-on with children aged 18 months to 8 years, utilizing ethical, evidence-based ABA techniques in a supportive center-based setting.

Your Role as a Behavior Support Specialist:

• Implement ABA therapy: Apply one-on-one ABA therapy principles to assist children with Autism in achieving their milestones by following treatment plans, collecting data, and utilizing supervisor feedback.
• Foster Development: Support the developmental needs of children through engaging and enjoyable therapeutic activities designed for early childhood.
• Collaborate with Team: Work alongside a dedicated team to enhance treatment efficacy, uphold safety, and create a spirited work environment.
• Engage with Children: Actively participate in play, movement, and joyous activities with children, from running and dancing to reading and playing games, while maintaining a positive and energetic atmosphere.
• Communicate Effectively: Maintain positive communication with peers, families, and supervisors to facilitate coordination, celebrate successes, and address individual needs.

What You Need:

• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, bend, squat, quickly move on the floor, and engage actively with young children to ensure safety and a clean work environment.
• Maintain Therapeutic Environment: Ensure that play spaces are tidy and conducive to a stimulating and fun experience for all children.
• Multitasking Skills: Balance multiple tasks and decisions while prioritizing safety and efficiency.
• Team Support: Work cohesively as a team, which may include occasional travel to nearby centers as required.
• Transportation: Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are necessary.
• Age and Education: Must be at least 18 years old and possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent.

As part of your employment, you will complete the RBT certification process within 20 days by passing a training curriculum and relevant examinations.

Competitive Pay Ranges:

• High School/Associates: $20.00 - $24.00
• Bachelor's Degree: $20.00 - $25.50
• Master's Degree: $20.00 - $28.00

Your first raise is available upon earning the RBT certification, typically within 21 days.

Preferred Experience:

• Childcare roles (nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, tutor, etc.)
• Mental health professionals (QMHP, behavioral health technicians)
• Camp counseling, volunteer teaching roles
• Education-related degrees (special education, psychology, sociology, etc.)
• Experience in direct support or life skills assistance
• A passion for working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
