Engineering Manager - Putnam, CT

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in the development and execution of innovative projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering, project management, and systems engineering, with experience in manufacturing environments. This role requires exceptional leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a commitment to fostering a collaborative team culture.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Manage project scheduling and resource allocation to optimize efficiency.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
• Utilize AutoCAD and SolidWorks for design and drafting of engineering schematics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system design and integration.
• Engage in data collection and analysis to inform decision-making processes.
• Conduct research and development activities to drive innovation within the team.
• Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on technical challenges and career development.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical/manufacturing engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 3D/2D CAD experience including 3D part and assembly modeling, 2D drafting/drawing experience.
• Hands-on experience in mechanical design and systems engineering.
• Strong project management experience within manufacturing or construction sectors.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with CAD software for 3D modeling and design tasks.
• Experience with data analysis skills, including data collection methodologies and laboratory experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
• Knowledge of quantum engineering principles is a plus but not mandatory.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $59.00/hr.
