The Opportunity

Our location in Plymouth, MN, currently has an opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer II. In Abbott's Electrophysiology (EP) business, we're advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

This position will support and improve existing manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures to meet daily production schedules while enhancing productivity and quality.

2nd Shift: Mon - Thurs Approximately 3:30PM - 2:30AM

(precise times may be shifted to accommodate other shift schedules)

What You'll Work On

  Support and continuously improve manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures to meet daily production schedules while enhancing productivity and product quality.

  n

• n

  Proactively seek out improvements and solutions to quality and productivity issues.

  n
n
• n

  Support production by responding to line down issues and other manufacturing concerns raised by the manufacturing teams.Maintain and manage all production status and statistics information for the assigned product lines (production line owner).

• n

  Troubleshoot manufacturing process and equipment.

  n
n
• n

  Utilize tools like DMAIC, A3, Gage R&R, Cp, Cpk, and SPC to improve processes.

  n
n
• n

  Understand manufacturing concepts like Value Stream mapping, 5S and Visual Workplace to improve quality, labor efficiency, and throughput.

  n
n
• n

  Lead project efforts within Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost priorities (example: CAPA ownership)

  n
n
• n

  Generate and modify manufacturing process documentation.

  n
n
• n

  Work with cross functional manufacturing teams

  n
n
• n

  Develop and implement process improvements.

  n
n

Required Qualifications

n
• n

  Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, , Biomedical or related Engineering area

  n
n
• n

  Minimum 3 years Manufacturing engineering experience required.

  n
n
• n

  Proficient with Microsoft Office suite

  n
n

Preferred Qualifications

n
• n

  PowerBI experience preferred

  n
n
• n

  Previous electronics manufacturing experience preferred

  n
n
• n

  Previous regulated manufacturing environment experience preferred.

The base pay for this position is $75,300.00 - $150,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
