Our client, a leading manufacturer of high-performance hydraulic solutions, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Engineer I to contribute to the design, development, and improvement of both new and existing hydraulic products.

What You'll Do

Under the direction of the Director of Engineering, you will play a key role in the full product lifecycle-from concept and prototyping to validation, support, and continuous improvement. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, and manufacturing to deliver high-quality hydraulic solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and update hydraulic cylinders and related components using SolidWorks 3D CAD.

Develop and test working prototypes for customer validation and beta programs.
n
n
Conduct engineering calculations including stress and strain analysis.
n
n
Provide technical support to Sales Managers in customer-facing situations.
n
n
Collaborate with operations to process Engineering Change Requests efficiently.
n
n
Ensure new and existing products meet customer specifications and safety standards.
n
n
Work closely with Designers to ensure manufacturability and design integrity.
n
n
Participate in lean initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
n
n
Maintain engineering specifications, documentation, and standards.
n

What You Bring

n
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
n
n
0-7 years of relevant experience in mechanical or hydraulic engineering.
n
n
Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems , metal fabrication , and machining processes .
n
n
Proficiency in SolidWorks and engineering analysis methods.
n
n
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
n
n
High attention to detail and a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset.
n

Certifications

Must obtain Certified Fluid Power Hydraulic Specialist certification within one year of employment.

Preferred Skills

n
Experience in lean manufacturing environments.
n
n
Hands-on experience in prototype development and testing.
n
n
Familiarity with current cutting tool technologies and stress analysis.
n

Physical & Work Environment

n
Occasional travel may be required for customer visits or field support.
n
n
Ability to work in office, laboratory, and production floor environments.
n
