Full-time, 40 hrs/wk, Mon- Fri + call, shifts vary, 6am-6pm

Sibley Memorial Hospital, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, has a distinguished history of serving the community since its founding in 1890. As a not-for-profit and full-service community hospital, Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopedic and skilled nursing inpatient services, as well as a 24-hour Emergency Department. Sibley's campus is also home to Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence, a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers.

The Endoscopy Technician Level II possesses advanced knowledge and skills necessary to perform advanced endoscopic procedures. The Technician Level II acts as a departmental resource for the gastroenterology service line and serves as a primary preceptor for other staff orienting to the Technician role in the Endoscopy Suite. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, prepares the procedure room, selects, and organizes the equipment, assists the physician, participates in an orderly and efficient room turnover based on knowledge of endoscopic procedure, physician preference, and patient care principles. Prepares and maintains all endoscopic equipment. This includes the cleaning and disinfection of endoscopic equipment, the cleaning and sterilization of accessory equipment, and the maintenance of a clean, orderly environment.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience as an Endoscopy Technician with completion of Endoscopy Technician Core Curriculum training to include Steris Operator Training Course, Care and Handling of Flexible Endoscopes and Equipment, Electrosurgical Safety, and ERCP From Start to Finish.
• Achievement of specialty certification.
• Current CPR Certification required.

Salary Range: Minimum 18.00 per hour - Maximum 29.63 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
