Electrical Designer

Selectek is looking for an Electrical Designer who have experience and enjoy working on projects regarding semiconductor manufacturing, data center facilities, and other state-of-the-art manufacturing and research facilities.

Required:

• 15+ years of experience in electrical engineering design of manufacturing buildings/facilities within North America
• Ability to provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff members. This is a lead role that will manage a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC)
• Ability to perform power system studies including short circuit, load flow, protective coordination, and arc flash preferred

Preferred:

• Life science and/or advanced manufacturing facility electrical design experience
• Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software
• Bachelor's or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from accredited program
• Professional Engineer license

Job Responsibilities:

• Chance to work on electrical projects for commercial and industrial facilities including pharmaceutical, electronics, data centers, and other advanced facilities and support buildings.
• Systems include medium and low voltage power distribution, motor controls, lightning protection, lighting, grounding and fire alarm systems.
• Responsibilities include engineering calculations, conceptual design, code compliance, construction cost estimating support, equipment specifications and preparation of electrical construction packages.
• Overseeing designers work, provide team with technical leadership, perform quality reviews of design packages, and assist directly with the more complex portions of the design process.
• Interact directly with the client, owner, and contractors to assist construction on site.
• Working closely with client owners in a fast paced, dynamic environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents.

Pay Range: $58/hour - $72/hour ($120,500 - $150,000 annual salary range)

Term of assignment: Temp (End date says 7/7/25 but will likely be longer) Possible contract to hire

Hours & Shift: 8AM 5PM; Monday - Friday
