We are seeking an experienced field Superintendent with excellent organizational, leadership, management, and communication skills. The Field Superintendent must be motivated, be willing to lead and instruct others, and be participatory in a team environment. This position requires routine interaction and communication between managers, clients, suppliers, and team members.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Plans and supervises activities including determining the method of construction, sequencing, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, and work schedule.
2. Helps train and manage other field staff.
3. Through assigned Electrical Foremen, manages the day-to-day activities of the construction operation of multiple mid-sized projects simultaneously.
4. In conjunction with the Project Manager, helps create and maintain project schedules, plans, monitors, and reviews critical path dates and milestone schedules.
5. Communicate site problems, conflicts, schedules, and quality issues effectively to the Project Manager and owner.
6. Resolves field construction problems.
7. Maintains open communication between all subcontractors to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc. that support project activities and project schedule.
8. Monitors field staff & subcontractor compliance with project safety program requirements; ensure that weekly safety inspections and toolbox talks are completed; ensures that corrective measures are implemented.
9. Assists the Safety Department in performing incident and/or accident investigations and follow-up.
10. Understands all subcontractors' scopes; assures subcontractors maintain schedules, and quality standards meet contract requirements.
11. Assists the Project Manager with subcontractor disputes, quality control, and schedule coordination.
12. Works with the Project Manager and owner's representatives to ensure work complies with drawings and specifications.
13. Supports the Project Manager in the negotiation of claims and changes.
14. Provides input to Project Manager regarding cost and schedule forecasts.
15. Assists the Project Manager with Change Order review.
16. Performs project close-out and ensures punch list is completed in a timely manner.
17. Mentors Project Associates assigned to the project.

Qualifications

• A minimum of three years' experience on construction projects as an Electrical Superintendent or Electrical General Foreman role (or higher) position.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Experience in mid-sized tenant buildouts and commercial space renovation projects is preferred.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of construction scheduling cost control and ability to control and supervise small to mid-sized groups.
• Good organization, multi-tasking, leadership, and decision-making ability.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
