Director Facilities

Sodexo is hiring our Director Facilities in the Wichita, KS area. Our successful candidate will manage a large budget with a large staff, have excellent time management and leadership skills and mentor our integrated facilities team. Valid Driver's License with clear background is required. Very strong technical skills with hands on mechanical expertise, a high level of emotional intelligence and strong professional polish are required for success in the role.

What You'll Do

1. Provide leadership as an experienced FM professional
2. Provide direction and guidance to the Facilities team of managers and employees
3. Maintain a solid and mutually beneficial business relationship with our client partners
4. Identify and solve mechanical problems proactively by walking through buildings doing inspections and assuring integrated facilities management runs smoothly
5. Manage day-to-day facilities responsibilities including providing overall planning, strategic innovation and implementation of the campus plan, achieving operations and financial goals
6. Provide strong strategic senior level Facilities Operations leadership while influencing C-Suite level clients on all matters relating to contract and account operations
7. Manage and understand the nuances of IFM operations including Maintenance, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Project and Asset Management, Environmental Services, Grounds and Landscaping and Energy Management

What You Bring

• Experience building a culture of accountability with strong adherence to Sodexo procedures
• Experience managing communication multiple times per day with C-Suite level clients
• Sense of urgency in assuring the needs of our clients are anticipated and met
• 5 years of experience at Director Level Integrated Facilities Management
• Demonstrated history of proactive approach in problem solving skills
• Ability to manage hands-on mechanical expertise
• Senior level direction for all major Facilities projects
• The ability to interview, train and develop staff timely to assure succession planning
• Management and implementation of the client's Master Plan for Facilities and assets
• Demonstrated history of enhancing facilities goals and objectives, allocating resources, controlling operating expenses, and ensuring efficient operation of all departmental functions
• Experience leading renovation and construction projects and coordinate and engage architects and structural engineers
• Experience managing operating expenses, construction projects, major renewal and replacement projects and securing funding
