Key Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables and assembling salads.
• Serve meals to residents according to their dietary requirements and portion sizes.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
• Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Engage positively with residents, staff, and guests, ensuring exceptional customer service.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior experience in a food service or kitchen setting is a plus but not necessary.
• Ability to follow instructions and collaborate effectively with the team.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with residents, staff, and HCSG leadership.
• Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Ability to lift and carry a maximum of 30 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Willingness to perform routine and repetitive tasks continuously.
• Ability to work safely around food and cleaning products.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State/County regulations.
• Residency within the service area is required.
