Design Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing mechanical and electromechanical assemblies for high precision CNC grinding and turning machines. The role also involves supporting automation integrations for these machines. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Generate detailed drawings of fabricated, machined, and sheet-metal parts.
• Use 3D CAD for detailed machine designs and concept layouts.
• Develop mechanical and electromechanical assemblies based on project requirements.
• Assure design feasibility and quality.
• Check for interferences and perform simulations using 3D CAD software.
• Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems and components by applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, and fluids through analysis using available software.
• Provide engineering support to customers, vendors, and sales teams for prospective projects.

Essential Skills

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in designing complex mechanical and electromechanical assemblies for machines, preferably machine tools.
• Demonstrated competency in 3D CAD.
• Experience with common manufacturing materials and machining processes.
• Ability to take both written and verbal instructions.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of professional demeanor and discretion in handling confidential information.
• Ability to work efficiently with a team of design and project engineers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in product design, grinding systems, CNC equipment, sheet metal, mechanical design, Solidworks, and mechanical engineering.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $120000.00/yr. Health, dental, vision, life and supplemental insurance. Paid time off (PTO) and holidays.
