The Design Engineer is responsible for the design, development, review, and release of new delivery stations and enhancements to existing station capacities. The role requires expertise in engineering design, including material flow, labor placement, conveyors, equipment, operations modules, and building layout components. The Design Engineer will collaborate with various teams and manage the implementation of new design standards, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and capacity improvements.

Responsibilities

  Build and develop designs for new delivery stations and enhance existing station capacities.

  Provide engineering design expertise, focusing on material flow, labor placement, conveyors, equipment, and building layout components.

  Collaborate with Design Managers, CAD drafters, Real Estate Transaction managers, and other stakeholders.

• n

  Implement new design standards in collaboration with World Wide Design, Safety, Process Engineering, and Material Handling Equipment teams.

  Oversee new expansion, retrofit, and process improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and capacity.

  Facilitate cross-functional project-specific reviews to collaborate on design solutions.

Essential Skills

• n

  Proficiency in project management, construction, time studies, industrial engineering, continuous improvement, and workflow analysis.

  Experience with AutoCAD for CAD design and industrial engineering or building design.

  n

• n

  Background in process improvements or workflow improvements.

  n
n

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• n

  Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent industrial and operations background .

• n

  Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in process and building layout design, preferably in fast-paced industrial, logistics, distribution, or manufacturing environments.

  Knowledge of design tools such as AutoCAD, MS Visio, Solidworks.

• n

  Strong process engineering and project management skills.

  n
n
• n

  Ability to build strong relationships with business partners and stakeholders.

• n

  High level of written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

n

Work Environment

The role requires onsite work three days a week at the designated worksite. Candidates must be willing to adhere to this onsite schedule.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Bellevue, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $52.00/hr.
