Be part of Banner University Medical Group as a BC/BE Dermatologist in an employed academic medicine position at Banner/University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. The role involves joining a faculty team in dermatology medical education and serving as the Residency Program Director while engaging in clinical care. Specific academic interests are welcome and can be discussed on an individual basis.

Qualifications

• Academic responsibilities to include oversight and teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows in the medical school
• Must be BC/BE in Dermatology
• 3 years of Dermatology experience
• Team player willing to fully engage as a leader in a growing academic program
• Candidates with academic experience and/or faculty title are preferred but not required

Position Details

• Core team consists of 5 physicians for General Dermatology, Complex Dermatology, Cutaneous Oncology, 2 MOHS surgeons, 1 APP, and 9 residents
• Number of patients daily varies by type of patient; 16 patients per session on average
• Schedule: Mon–Fri (8 am – 5 pm); opportunity for 80/20 split. Full-time employment includes 6 clinic sessions/week and PD role accounting for 20% effort (equivalent to 2 clinical sessions).
• Practice call rotation, typically 2.5 weeks per quarter

The Division of Dermatology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine Tucson provides outstanding clinical care to patients. Our team of dermatologists specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide range of skin diseases and managing both benign and malignant skin tumors and inflammatory conditions. Our residency program provides comprehensive training in medical and surgical care.
