Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain diagnostic imaging equipment and ensure it is always clean and in proper working order.
- Set up, calibrate, and adjust equipment as per the specific examination requirements.
- Accept patients, assess their needs, and explain procedures clearly to ensure they feel comfortable.
- Administer appropriate contrast agents safely and effectively, performing IV access when necessary.
- Collaborate with Radiologists to ensure correct examinations are conducted for accurate diagnoses.
- Conduct quality control for all images produced, ensuring safety regulations are adhered to at all times.
- Utilize extensive anatomical knowledge to achieve optimal imaging results.
- Stay updated on new technology and safety protocols within the department.
- Foster a culture of safety through diligent practices and compliance with policies.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Completion of an AMA-approved Radiology Technology program.
- Experience: A minimum of 3-4 years in Radiology, with at least one year of CT-specific training.
- Licensure: Active certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Computed Tomography and a Massachusetts Radiation Control Program license.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification within 180 days of hire.
