Summary:
As a CT Imaging Technologist, you will conduct procedures and tests utilizing Computerized Tomography (CT) equipment to acquire and analyze vital patient diagnostic data.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Identification: Demonstrate professionalism while verifying patient identity, obtaining patient history, and providing assistance to patients and their families. Ensure patient understanding and safety while documenting pregnancy status for applicable patients.
- CT Scans: Acquire images following protocols, manipulate images as necessary, perform multi-planar and 3D reconstruction of image data, and expertly select appropriate window and level settings based on anatomy.
- Contrast Administration: Administer oral contrast and establish intravenous lines for both adult and pediatric patients as per established protocols. Ensure correct procedures are followed to assess contrast eligibility and check lab values prior to contrast injections.
- Image Transfer: Maintain a strong understanding of PACS and ensure accurate transmission of images. Perform quality control checks, manage orders timely, and confirm accuracy of demographic information on PACS images.
- Additional Duties: Execute tasks efficiently, manage the schedule for consistent workflow, tackle challenging tasks, and produce high-quality diagnostic images. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work environment, while documenting incidents to foster improvements. Train new employees and students.
Qualifications:
Education:
Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or anticipated completion within three months of application.
Licensure/Certification:
Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences is required, or registry eligibility must be documented. Advanced certification in CT is necessary within one year of employment, and candidates must maintain current competency in HCP BLS.
Professional Experience:
Relevant education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform assigned tasks.
