The Drake Hotel is looking for their next Cook I to join their culinary team! An iconic Chicago landmark, The Drake Hotel blends timeless elegance with modern luxury, rich history and exceptional service. Team members have the opportunity to be part of a distinguished tradition of hospitality while contributing to unforgettable guest experiences.

The ideal candidate will have previous kitchen experience, strong culinary skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment. They should demonstrate commitment to team work, a passion for cooking, and the ability to work a flexible schedule.

Pay Rate: $28.26 per hour

What will I be doing?

As a Cook I, you would be responsible for preparing, maintaining and monitoring quality control for cold and hot food items in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
• Supervise and support fellow cook staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times
• Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products
• Assist in food preparation for high volume banquet events.
• Prepare guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
• Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
