What You Will Do

• Design and develop PLC software and HMIs for industrial automation equipment.
• Debug and troubleshoot PLC software and HMIs efficiently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project timelines and critical path milestones are met.
• Maintain task lists and generate reports for open items.
• Document project designs meticulously and prepare deliverables for customers.
• Ensure adherence to the controls engineering process throughout projects.
• Assist customers and local tradespeople with troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Conduct training sessions for end-users on equipment operation.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Mechatronics preferred.
• A minimum of two years’ experience as a Controls Engineer or Controls Software Engineer with expertise in designing Rockwell Logix 5000 or Siemens S7-1500 processors.
• Proficient understanding of electrical circuits, schematic reading, and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with electrical CAD systems, such as AutoCAD Electrical and/or ePLAN.
• Experience in PLC programming using ladder and structured text.
• Experience in programming HMIs.
• Willingness to travel approximately 30% domestically and internationally.
• Flexibility for weekend work may be required based on project demands.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of programming languages such as VB, C/C++, or C#.
• Experience with Rockwell and Siemens HMIs is a plus.
