Concrete Pump Operator
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Concrete Pump Operator to operate concrete pumping machinery to transfer concrete to construction job sites. The ideal candidate will have experience working with concrete pumps (boom or line) and a strong commitment to job site safety, equipment maintenance, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate boom or line pumps to deliver concrete to designated locations on construction sites.
- Drive the concrete pump truck to and from job sites in a safe and timely manner.
- Set up the pump, hoses, and pipes at the job site according to the project specifications.
- Monitor pump operation and flow of concrete to ensure proper distribution and consistency.
- Clean and maintain equipment after each job to ensure proper functionality and safety.
- Communicate effectively with the job site team, including contractors, laborers, and site supervisors.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the pump truck, reporting any issues to the maintenance team.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations on site.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to pump operation and delivery.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with clean driving record preferred.
- Proven experience operating concrete pumps (boom and/or line).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of pump equipment.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.
- Physical ability to lift heavy hoses, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and safety.
Preferred Qualifications:
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
- Knowledge of concrete mixtures and placement techniques.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Work is primarily outdoors and may involve exposure to dust, noise, heavy machinery, and varying weather conditions.
- Schedule may include early mornings, overtime, weekends, and occasional travel to remote job sites.
