Job Details
The Vertical Estimator (also listed as Senior Commercial GC Estimator) is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of estimating for vertical and commercial construction projects. This includes everything from initial client contact to final job setup and turnover to operations.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop conceptual budgets, design-phase estimates, and final pricing
• Lead project buyout and coordinate with operations for execution
• Analyze plans, specs, and bid invitations to produce accurate takeoffs
• Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, and subcontractors
• Present estimates and cost breakdowns to stakeholders
• Use software like ProEst, Building Connected, Bluebeam, Excel, and Word
• Mentor junior estimators and contribute to team development

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in commercial general contracting estimating
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
• Degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience preferred
