Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Electrician to join our team for construction projects based in Savannah, Georgia. This position is responsible for installing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring that work is done in accordance with relevant codes. The role involves the technical application of electrical principles, utilizing appropriate equipment and implementing required safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform commercial electrical work, with a preference for experience in hotels.

• Install electrical panels, lighting fixtures, switches, outlets, and wiring in equipment.

• Conduct rough-ins and final installations of conduit and MC Cable.

• Execute start-up and energizing procedures for equipment.

• Work on fire systems.

• Focus on common areas such as main floors, basement work areas for employees, hallways, stairwells, restaurants, and rooftop bars.

Essential Skills

• Experience in commercial electrical work, particularly in hotels or similar environments.

• Proficiency in running MC Cable and pulling cable.

• Ability to install lighting, panels, switches, outlets, and other electrical components.

• Understanding and application of electrical codes.

• Experience in reading blueprints.

• Use of all necessary electrical tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must have journeyman status or equivalent.

• Minimum of 5 years of electrical experience.

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.

• Proficiency in conduit bending and cable management.

• Experience with switchgear and electrical wiring.

Work Environment

You will be working on new construction projects, requiring the use of standard Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The work environment is dynamic, with a focus on safety and efficient electrical installations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pooler, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
