Coating Technician - Swing Shift

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor coating machines by calibrating and setting up the correct operation run.
• Analyze data and communicate any abnormalities to supervisors or engineering teams.
• Collaborate with engineers to enhance operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot issues in the vacuum coating process.
• Follow instructions and procedures, while suggesting improvements for continuous enhancement.
• Assemble fixtures and tooling.
• Inspect products and machinery.
• Utilize Excel, email, Office, and other manufacturing communication programs.
• Adhere to safety policies and use proper personal protective equipment.

Essential Skills

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and computer skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and operate machinery independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Capability to multitask in a lightly staffed swing shift environment.
• Physical ability to lift and/or move 35 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable using new technology and computers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Some education in a STEM-related field is advantageous.
• Technical or mechanical hobbies such as building computers.
• Experience in manufacturing is beneficial but not required.

Work Environment

The work environment involves sitting 20% and standing 80% of the time. Employees must be capable of lifting and moving up to 35 pounds. The workspace requires working in various positions such as reaching, stooping, and kneeling. The temperature is moderate, and noise levels can occasionally be loud. Work is conducted in a cleanroom manufacturing setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Rosa, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.10 - $27.50/hr.
